Vertec
BioSolvents, Inc. offers a full line of bio-based
solventsderived from renewable resources and solvent blends that
provide high performance as
formulating ingredients, carrier solvents and/or cleaning
solvents. The main ingredient in most blended products is
VertecBioTM EL Ethyl Lactate, an ester solvent derived from corn which
has excellent solvating ability for many resins, pigments, gums, soils,
greases, etc. In most applications, however, performance can
be
enhanced by the addition of co-solvents and/or other
ingredients.
As a formulating ingredient, EL and its blends provide high solvating
capacity, thus enabling production of concentrated or high-solids
products. As cleaning solvents, they are very effective
against a
wide variety of contaminants.
VertecBio
EL
Technical grade ethyl lactate. An excellent
ingredient for
formulating printing inks, coatings, resin cleaners, paint strippers,
graffiti removers, ink cleaners, etc. Outstanding solvent for
agricultural pesticide/herbicide formulations, with approval from the
US EPA as a List 4A inert ingredient and “exempt from the
requirement of a tolerance.” Also a good “precision”
cleaning solvent that dries without leaving any film or
residue.
Excellent for cleaning some lighter oils and greases, adhesives,
etc. Used extensively for electronic circuit board cleaning,
aircraft wipe cleaning and other demanding applications.

ELSOL
ALL
THE ADVANTAGES OF VERTECBIO EL, ETHYL LACTATE, WITHOUT THE STRONG
ODOR! A line of patent pending, breakthrough products
composed of
a blend of VertecBio EL and a monohydric alcohol. ELSOL
blends
exhibit greatly increased solvating power vs. the alcohols alone, leave
no residue and are ideal as wipe solvents for precision cleaning
applications. Flash point and drying rate can be custom
crafted
to fit the customer’s requirements. ELSOLTM-EtOH (ethyl
lactate + ethanol) is an effective, 100% biobased replacement for IPA
solvent.

Gold
Products
composed of a patented blend of VertecBio EL and methyl
soyate.
They are excellent solvents for cleaning heavy petroleum materials,
such as asphalt, tar and greases. Also good for graffiti
removal
and ink removal. VertecBio Gold Parts Cleaner is a very
effective, long-lasting solvent for removing greases and oils from
metal parts. Water rinsable without the addition of
surfactants. Flash point > 150o F.

Products
composed of a blend of VertecBio EL and citrus (orange or lemon/lime)
terpenes. Outstanding as a paint “line flush”
solvent. Excellent for cleaning oils and greases, graffiti
and
inks. Excellent resin cleaner for epoxy, acrylic/epoxy,
partially
cured UV and polyurethane materials. Ideal for vessel
cleanout
– tank trucks, semi-bulk bins, reactors, storage tanks.
